Date and Time: Saturday, May 16, 2026, 9:50 a.m. – 6:40 p.m.:40

This is an ambitious research paper that directly challenges the long-held “unspoken assumption” regarding VirusTotal's role in the security industry, backed by empirical data.

We plan to publish a separate article about the presentation given that day.

About Bsides Tokyo

BSides (Security BSides) is a community-driven information security conference held around the world. It is organized as an open forum for anyone interested in security—including researchers, engineers, and students—and, under a bottom-up culture with minimal commercial influence, welcomes new challenges and technical discussions.

BSides Tokyo 2026 features a diverse lineup of sessions and workshops led by leading researchers from Japan and around the world, making it one of the most anticipated events in Japan’s security community.

We will continue our research activities as a company—including our interns—with the goal of maintaining our position as a top-tier conference.

To all students interested in cybersecurity

At PKT, we are always looking for student interns who are serious about security.
We currently have several interns working at PKT, primarily focusing on the following areas. In addition to technical work, they also play an active role in sales-oriented tasks aimed at effectively communicating the appeal of our products and services to customers.

  • Development of an AI-powered penetration testing tool
  • Discovery of a zero-day vulnerability
  • Analysis of Malware Analysis and Detection Evasion Techniques
  • Research on Intelligence Methods for Detecting Attackers
  • Marketing (website updates, blog post creation, ad creation and analysis, etc.)

We make a point of sharing the outstanding results and insights gained through our work at conferences and other events, enabling us to conduct practical research that is unique to a corporate environment.

I don’t just want to do my job—I want to experience the whole process, right up to presenting my results at a conference!
If that’s what you’re looking for, PKT is the place that can fully support you in that challenge.

For inquiries regarding internships, please feel free to contact us via the contact form on the PKT corporate website.
