Powder Keg Technologies Co., Ltd. (PKT) was established in September 2021 with the goal of providing new options for the Japanese market by establishing domestically developed cybersecurity products.

What I realized through my experience in the power industry and consulting firms is that many of the security infrastructures we rely on are dependent on foreign products. Given the fluid international situation, this high level of dependency poses a latent risk to society as a whole.

Moreover, the field of cybersecurity inherently involves the challenge that the stronger the measures taken, the more burden it places on business operations and system management.
“It’s bad not to do anything, but it’s also not good to overdo it”—to strike this delicate balance, we believe it’s essential to have a system that automatically checks for vulnerabilities, misconfigurations, and other issues, and enables quick implementation of necessary countermeasures.

To address this, we have developed and provide the product "MUSHIKAGO", which fully automates penetration testing (security evaluation through simulated attacks).
This platform is built on domestic expertise and technology, enabling continuous and efficient security assessments. Through this initiative, we aim to not only reduce dependence on foreign products but also evolve cybersecurity into a more flexible and sustainable approach.

At PKT, we are fully committed to expanding the options provided by domestic products and creating systems that allow for accurate, low-burden security maintenance, so that everyone can safely drive forward their digital transformation (DX) efforts.
